Mapping Your Path
into 2027
A runway into the New Year.
MAP YOUR WAY INTO THE YEAR AHEAD.
Mapping Your Path is a 3-month creative workshop and global community designed to help you see new possibilities and start mapping your path into the year ahead—and beyond.
OCT 2026 – JAN 2027
Kick-off: Oct 2
Your path doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.
The path that’s served you this far isn’t necessarily the path that will take you where you want to go next.
You’ve gotten this far and gained incredible experience and skills along the way. You don’t have to burn everything down and start from zero.
But maybe there’s something pulling at you that you can’t quite let go of. You know you’re ready for something to change, even if you don’t know exactly what that looks like yet.
Maybe you’re also looking at the world around you and questioning how you want to be part of what comes next.
The Oct–Jan cohort is designed to help us get intentional about what we want out of the year ahead. We’ll use the last three months of the year as a testing ground to practice how we want to show up in the world so that on January 1, you’re not starting from zero—you’re already in motion.
Along the way, you’ll develop your own guiding force—a word, phrase, or theme for the year ahead—create your own pocket-sized guidebook to capture what you discover, and make a map for 2027.
Don’t wait until January. Use the final months of the year as your runway to explore, experiment, and start mapping your path into 2027.
Does this sound like you?
You’re successful, capable, and doing all the things “right,” but you know the way you’ve been doing things is no longer the way forward.
You feel an itch that something needs to change, even if you can’t put your finger on exactly what it is yet.
You’re at a crossroads or transition point in life, whether by choice or not, and want to be intentional about how you move forward.
Your year has felt out of control and you’re ready to get back in the driver’s seat.
You do so much for others, and now it’s time to make some space for you.
You’re craving more creativity, play, joy, and delight in your life.
You want to feel connected to other curious humans and a global community with fresh perspectives that remind you there are other ways to do things.
You care about living a meaningful life and the world around you—not simply checking the next box or following someone else’s definition of success.
And you’re ready to explore what might be ahead.
Knowing isn’t the same as living it.
Chances are you already know what you need/want to do, but no matter how many self-help books you read, podcast episodes you listen to, or Instagram posts you’ve saved, knowing isn’t the same as living it. Action is required for a different outcome (hello, OVERRIDE! 📓), and that’s what Mapping Your Path is here to support you through.
We don’t always need more information, advice, or answers. Sometimes we need a new perspective. When our usual way of thinking isn’t getting us somewhere new, creativity helps us access another way of seeing.
And that creativity may even involve mapping on bananas, because we’re here to do things differently.
We spend a lot of time in our heads, and our well-intentioned logical and rational minds can keep us operating in default mode, repeating familiar patterns, or doing mental gymnastics to justify why we shouldn’t follow our desires. MYP isn’t about throwing logic out the window. It’s about trusting ourselves and accessing other ways of knowing too.
Throughout MYP, we’ll use a series of shorter map-inspired exercises to get what’s in your head onto paper, make your thinking visible, and creatively extract new insights. There will be maps (from mindmaps to geographic ones), reflective journal prompts, and opportunities to make unexpected connections.
The exercises build on each other, but they can also stand alone. You can return to them whenever you need a different way to look at something. Each exercise becomes another tool in your toolkit and gives you material to draw from as you build toward your bigger map for the year ahead.
MYP gets to be your testing ground, practice arena, and playground for showing up differently. Through small steps and imperfect action you can experiment, try out ideas, notice what happens, learn, adjust, and course-correct as you go. And you get to make a map for your future self.
The process can be messier than anyone warns you, but it’s worth it. Sometimes we take the scenic route to get where we’re going. Along the way, we may even discover that we don’t actually want some of the things we thought we did.
“Last year proved to be a year where I had to rethink how I approach and view almost everything - MYP being a major catalyst for getting me to actually realise that I didn’t have to keep banging my head against a brick wall expecting it to move, I just had to think differently.”
Creativity, curiosity, community, and connection are at the heart of Mapping Your Path.
WARNING: Mapping Your Path (MYP) is not like other online programs.
We’re here to do things differently, have some FUN, while feeling more connected to ourselves and each other.
We leverage the power of analog exploration to get out of our heads and our default ways of thinking. We use pen and paper, maps, drawing, play, curiosity, questions, and the power of the collective. Sometimes creative solutions come from connecting the dots and playing with creative constraints.
You are the expert of your own life. But that doesn’t mean you have to figure it out alone.
Sure, anyone can sit down and make a map. But there’s something powerful that happens when we map together.
Your map comes from within you and everything you’ve experienced, learned, noticed, desired, questioned, and know deep down. But we don’t exist in isolation. Other people’s questions, experiences, perspectives, ideas, maps, and encouragement can help us make connections and see possibilities we may never have reached alone.
Your map is yours, but it’s also informed by the people, perspectives, and world around you that help show you what’s possible.
Mapping Your Path is your invitation to get on YOUR path, not the one society prescribed for you.
What you can expect inside MYP
Mapping Your Path is designed for actual humans with real lives. It provides structure AND flexibility, with multiple ways to connect and participate. Take what resonates and leave the rest. You don’t have to be a perfect student to get a ton out of the experience. What’s more important is that you’re applying what you discover to your own life.
Two 1.5-hour live workshops each month
Each workshop uses map-inspired analog exercises that can be done during the session. Time is built into the workshops to actually do the exercises, so MYP doesn’t have to become another program where you leave each call with a pile of homework.
Of course you’re welcome to keep exploring between sessions.
The first session of the month will introduce new exercises. Two weeks later, the “Reflection Session” will dig deeper into the exercises, along with one new one.
Can’t join live? That’s OK. Many MYPers can’t attend every workshop live (or live on the other side of the world) and look forward to using the replays as dedicated time for themselves—a form of self-care rather than another thing on the to-do list.
The replays also give you the freedom to pause, spend longer with an exercise or journal prompt, and break the workshop into smaller chunks on your own time. You’ll continue to have access to the workshops after our three months together.
Miss a session? There’s no behind in MYP. You can dive back in wherever we are rather than feeling like you need to catch up first. The exercises may inform each other and ultimately your bigger map, but each one can also offer something valuable on its own.
“I am so grateful to be a part of MYP, and to have the time to dedicate to all these wonderfully revealing activities! Even though I’m not able to join the workshops live, I’m getting so much out of it! Taking time to watch the replay, and pausing to spend longer on the activities, feels like precious ‘mindfulness’ time for me!”
A monthly small-group Connection Call
Every month you’ll sign up for a 1-hour Connection Call hosted by Anne with 4–5 other MYPers. A range of times are offered so everyone can join one live, regardless of where you are in the world.
If there’s one live piece of MYP I encourage you to prioritize, it’s these small-group live calls.
Connection Calls are an opportunity to talk through exercises in real time, hear other perspectives, make connections, get out of your head and get support around what you’re navigating in life. They’re often an MYP highlight and have been described as magical.
A private global community
The MYP community allows us to connect asynchronously wherever you are in the world, whatever your working hours are, or between your travels. Here we celebrate wins, share resources, post exercises, ask questions, and set intentions in weekly check-ins for anyone who wants added accountability.
It’s up to each participant how connected they want to be, but unlike many communities Anne is in the community daily supporting, interacting with, and cheering you on! It’s a place where you can be real with a group of amazing humans who “get it.”
You not only get access to Anne’s brain, but the brilliant hive mind of the community.
You can also look forward to a weekly roundup of resources shared inside the community, along with reminders of what’s ahead, so you can stay connected without having to keep up with every post.
“What I didn’t realize was the magic of the people who come together in the space. Not only does it bring me inspiration and encouragement, but it makes me feel like I am not alone.
Seeing so many other people using the same language, and experiencing similar obstacles brings me a level of delight that is hard to describe. It’s magic. Where I come from, there are not many people talking about the things that we do in MYP, and that can get very isolating. Thank you so much for holding this space for us all to find each other, and thanks for meeting us where we are at. ”
“ I love the spirit of curiosity and exploration in MYP, and being with great people from around the world. Anne has a talent for gathering a great community of people in a unique atmosphere.”
“Having a full time job has been all consuming for me. I recognize the importance of ensuring my identity is not tied to it and I use MYP to help uncover other parts of me but I also use MYP to enhance the work me.
When things get hectic at work, I rely on MYP and the MYP community to get re-energized and to gain perspective. ”
Awesome humans around the world
Many connections have been sparked through MYP over the years and real friendships have formed. This group tends to love to travel, so you may get some great travel tips for your next trip—or even meet up with a MYPer in another city (or country!). Read more testimonials here.
No two paths or maps look the same, but we can be inspired and expanded by each other…
Maps are a beautiful reminder that there are multiple ways to get where we’re going. When we put pen to paper, maps make our thinking visible. They help us see new connections, open possibilities, and remember there is more than one way to get where we’re going. Sometimes detours—or taking the scenic route—are where new pathways appear.
While MYP attracts creative types, it also attracts loads of non-“creatives” too. It’s the mix of backgrounds and life experience which brings so much richness and depth to this community.
NO ARTISTIC SKILL IS REQUIRED. In MYP we operate under the premise that EVERYONE IS CREATIVE.
Your map doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. In fact, that’s the point.
Throughout this journey we’ll return to the question:
What will you leave with?
The goal is for you to leave these three months feeling lighter, grounded, supported, and more connected to what matters to you.
You’ll leave with:
Your own guidebook which is a cheat sheet for the exercises we explore
A guiding force—a word, phrase, or theme to help guide you through 2027
A map of your own for the year ahead
A toolkit of creative exercises you can return to whenever you need them
Your internal operating system can expect these updates:
Experience taking imperfect action and course-correcting as needed
New possibilities you couldn’t see before
A renewed connection to your creativity
New connections and support systems
While Mapping Your Path is a stand-alone 3-month creative experience, year after year many MYPers return because it’s such a special place and unique community. Even when we revisit exercises, we as humans keep evolving, and life continues to throw us curveballs and plot twists, so it’s nice to have a safe, trusted place to return to.
Even with many familiar faces, we love welcoming new folks each cohort who bring fresh ideas and perspectives. You never know who you may meet in MYP.
Sometimes you come looking for a path and find something even more valuable.
“Funny enough a year ago when I joined, I was looking for a “path”. I was so stuck I had no idea even which direction to point in. While my initial intention was to come out of the program with some sort of plan and path forward, I think what I came out with, a purpose, was far more valuable.
The exercises unlocked a version of the younger me that I had forgotten about with all the adulting I do, the no-pressure mantra that you reiterated all the time made me feel like there was no behind, and I just loved all the creative exercises which is really where I found a lot of joy.”
“My experience in Mapping Your Path was nothing short of transformative. It really supported me as I was about to make some major life changes, including moving cross-country, buying a new apartment, and setting me up to get a promotion at work. There’s a certain magic to the MYP experience and process as it unfolds. And, as an added bonus, there’s built-in community of other MYPers having a shared experience!”
Meet your guide.
Hi! 👋 I’m Anne and I’m your Chief Dot Connector. I’ve never been one to take the traditional path. Studying abroad taught me that the city is my classroom. Later, my travel and design blog, Prêt à Voyager (“ready to travel”), opened doors to opportunities I never could have planned for. Its mantra became my own: “travel is not about where you go, but how you see the world.”
My studies took me through the lens of art history and anthropology, and my early career in graphic design taught me the power of visuals to communicate ideas, before discovering my love of facilitation through design thinking. My life experience trained me to see things that other people take for granted.
Growing up I was dubbed the “quiet one.” With time, and a helpful perspective shift, I realized I was really the quiet observer taking it all in. Now I’m the person on stages and running workshops who really enjoys creating spaces where everyone feels welcome.
I’ve seen my career pivot multiple times to create a universe I wish existed. Change isn’t always easy, it takes action and trust. Along the way I moved to France, started a business, and became a French citizen (on my own!) even when everyone told me it wasn’t possible.
This spirit is captured in OVERRIDE! What if there was another way? A pocket playbook for possibility, which I wrote, illustrated, and chose to self-publish rather than waiting for someone else’s permission. Across all of my work I like to shake up the status quo.
I fell in love with maps as a kid inspired by my dad and a middle school world geography teacher. My signature move became banana mapping, sparked by the hand-drawn map of one of my students.
I first launched Mapping Your Path in 2020 when the world was in an uncertain place. Even when we couldn’t travel, maps became a common thread to connect us all. What started out as making pretty maps became something far richer and deeper (and joyful).
Maps remind us there are multiple ways forward, even with detours along the way. My work uses the power of maps and analog creativity as tools for carving new pathways and playful ways to think differently to encourage people to reconnect with curiosity, imagination, and possibility.
For anyone feeling lost or craving change, Mapping Your Path is a reminder that there’s always another way—we just need to get creative enough to see it.
18 cohorts later, I’ve seen first hand what is possible in this process. It’s not about doing more, working harder, or adding more to your plate—it’s opening yourself up to doing things differently, even if that means dancing with a bit of discomfort. I like to shake people out of the everyday in a way that feels safe while making them comfortably uncomfortable.
I’ve seen countless people join MYP thinking they need one thing only to discover another. I’ve seen the small shifts make a big impact. I’ve witnessed people bloom and find themselves again. Observing the paths of others helps influence and inspire my own as well, helping show me what’s possible too.
Start before you’re ready.
Clarity comes through action.
Waiting for the perfect timing in life can be a trap. It’s a moving target and can keep us stuck.
You don’t have to have anything “figured out” or know exactly where you’re going to join MYP. Sometimes you just need to know that the path that’s served you this far isn’t necessarily the path that will take you where you want to go next.
Pay attention to the pull.
Our well-intentioned rational minds can come up with all sorts of reasons to stay with what we know. We can spend a lot of time doing mental gymnastics or trying to justify why we shouldn’t follow our desires. Investing time, energy, and money in ourselves can feel uncomfortable too, particularly when we’re used to prioritizing everything and everyone else.
You’re allowed to make yourself a priority. You’re worth investing in.
You don’t need the whole path figured out before you start walking. Allow MYP to be your next step and see what unfolds.
MYP probably isn’t for you if…
You’re not willing to make yourself a priority.
Expect to spend around 4 hours a month devoted to MYP. The workshops can be broken up on your own time, and more or less you can still get what you need. Every step you take counts.
You’re looking for someone to give you the answers and tell you what to do.
MYP isn’t here to prescribe your path or tell you what to do. It creates a space to reconnect with what you already know while opening you up to perspectives and possibilities you may not have seen alone.
You’re unwilling to stay curious, try things, question your own stories, and play.
You might arrive thinking “this is just how I am” or “I’m not creative enough.” That’s OK. You don’t have to believe everything is possible yet. You just have to be curious enough to question whether the story you’ve been telling yourself is the only one.
Mapping Your Path is sacred time for YOU.
Your path may not look like anyone else’s and that’s the beauty of this journey where you no longer go through life passively.
The more we live our lives true to ourselves, following our own paths, the more possibility we create—not only for ourselves, but for the world around us.
When we show up differently, the world around us changes too.
In MYP we operate under the beliefs that:
Why wait for January when there’s even more pressure? Use the final months of the year as your runway. The holidays can even become an opportunity to practice what you’re learning while real life is happening.
By the time you create your map and guiding force for 2027, you’ll already have spent time experimenting, noticing, and learning what you want to bring with you into the year ahead.
By January 1, you don’t need to have everything figured out. You’ll already be on your way.
Come PLAY in Mapping Your Path and let your life be the playground.
Shift perspective.
Open possibilities.
There’s always another way.
Small steps add up over time.
