A living laboratory for life.

This is not your typical workshop + community.

Mapping Your Path is a place where you get to show up unabashedly as yourself. You get to show up imperfectly.

This experience is designed for people with real lives and busy schedules. You don’t have to do it all.

Some participants join for the workshops (others prefer watching the replays.) Some participants join for the community. Some participants join for the monthly small group Connection Calls. There’s no one or right way to do this. Make it work for you. This is a judgment-free zone.

The people who join Mapping Your Path make it magical and a truly special place to hang out. It’s a healthy, supportive environment that’s much better than mindlessly scrolling social media for hours. It’s a place to go and people to turn to when you need support, guidance, a boost, to ask a question, or celebrate a win. You are not alone.

I’ve resisted every organizational structure or set of principles that have ever been recommended to me. But the MYP workshop is different. It carved out the space for me to understand myself better, and with help from Anne and a community of authentic souls, I could use those insights to unlock answers that have been within me all along. The habits, the altered perspectives, and the new career path—they have all been more meaningful and enduring than I could have ever imagined.

Mapping Your Path is alchemy, because it will bring together parts of yourself and others to spark transformation you could never foresee. It’s the most supportive structured community to understand yourself better and make durable, meaningful change to your life.

You don’t have to know what you want to get out of the experience, you just have to know that you’re not where you want to be and you’re not entirely sure why.
— ANNIE YI (WASHINGTON, D.C.)

A playground of possibilities.

In this round of Mapping Your Path, we’ll be exploring what brings us energy, our current mindsets, overcoming our fears, lingering limiting beliefs, and working with boundaries to create more space to focus on the paths that light us up—all with the help of a pen, paper, and mapping! We’ll be doing a bit of time traveling (way back) in support of looking forward.

Life doesn’t always have to be so serious, let’s embrace our inner child and allow ourselves to play! THIS WILL BE FUN!

Along the way, you’ll uncover your superpowers and learn to embrace the secret sauce within you. No artistic skills are required. This is about learning to see the world through a different lens. No two paths are the same. There’s no one-map-fits-all. Maps help show us where we are and where we want to go.

I’m amazed at how transformative MYP has been! It’s all about asking the right questions and digging up the answers.

I’ve taken innumerable online classes, courses, and workshops, and MYP is the ONLY one that I (surprisingly) saw myself commit to from start to finish. The reason? Engagement of its leader, Anne who is very much involved not only as a guide but as a peer, leading by example. Another huge benefit of MYP is the richness of the group - feeling surrounded by truly brilliant people kept me inspired.
— NADIA MONOSOVA (BROOKLYN, NY)

You create the map for your future.
Unlock the magic within you.

Let’s normalize getting lost. Detours are welcome, roadblocks are inevitable. We can keep going or take a pause and pick up again.

You’re no longer passively following the blue dot on your phone to tell you where to go. You’re learning to break out of societal programming, scripts, and expectations to trust your inner guidance system. Stay open to possibilities beyond what you ever imagined for yourself. Together we’ll work to unblock the invisible forces standing in your way.

It’s hard to put this into words - but MYP gave me a framework to create the space I needed to sit in all the swirling. It was the crossroads of all the work that just created a calm eye in the middle of a storm to pause and reflect.

The price was pretty amazing, especially considering how personally involved Anne is with everything. You don’t see that often. The time was very manageable, especially with the options to review on your own. And the community is an extra level of support I know I needed during this time.
— TAMI LYNN ROSS (ATLANTA, GEORGIA)

THE ROADMAP:

Month 1: MAPPING YOUR STORY + UNCOVERING YOUR BEST SELF

Month 2: RE-WRITING THE THINGS THAT GET IN OUR WAY

Month 3: MOMENTUM + MAPPING YOUR WAY FORWARD

There are different levels of connection throughout the journey—with yourself, with Anne, and with others. It sounds counter-intuitive, but you don’t have to do it all to get a ton out of the experience. Some exercises stand alone, and some build on each other. Participants have full permission to start wherever they are and show up imperfectly. Some exercises will resonate with you more than others, and some will be easier than others. This is all about a series of small steps in the right direction. Everything adds up. We’re going for progress, not perfection. One small step at a time.

WHAT YOU’LL WALK AWAY WITH:

  • Exploratory maps

  • New creative exercises for your personal toolkit

  • Your own mini playbook to help keep you on track

  • Your best self (seriously! We’ll work through an exercise where you learn about yourself through others.)

  • New friends + support system

  • A new, empowered mindset! (We’ll be busting down those blocks!)

No artistic experience is required. No two maps are the same. A bit of curiosity will take you far! You’ll be guided every step of the way.

Meet your guide + Chief Dot Connector!

Anne Ditmeyer is an American in Paris who has never been one to do things the traditional way. From being a member of the men's crew team in college to starting her own business in France (which eventually earned her dual citizenship), Anne has always been guided by "her own special gyroscope" as her mom would say.

Life has taught her the city is her classroom. The mantra of her blog Prêt à Voyager (translation: ready to travel) is "Travel is not about where you go, but how you see the world."

She believes in sharing "alternative narratives" or the stories we don't always hear. A designer by training, creativity and fun is at the heart of all the work she does, including making people map on bananas!

Her workshops have been featured in Forbes and Psychologies Magazine.

THE MYP SECRET SAUCE

Anne will be your Chief Dot Connector connecting you to others in the cohort, “prescribing” the perfect resource or tool you may need at the moment, and cheering you on every step of the way. But she is not only your workshop facilitator; she’s also an active participant. Through the workshops, reflection sessions, connection calls, and the Slack community, get a peek into Anne’s brain, what she’s working on, thinking about, and dreaming up. (I love learning from and being inspired by the community—and soon you will be too!)

The community that you cultivated was so special. It’s incredible that you attracted a group of kind-hearted, supportive individuals from around the world to be a part of the program. Learning that other people were also dealing with the things that I was struggling with and working through them together was what made the program worth it.
— NISHANT BHANSALI (INDIA + USA)

You’ve got a magical talent: you can gather incredible humans! The MYP community is such a kind, inspiring, resourceful sounding board and your contagious energy paired with your design thinking approach helps one to feel seen whilst gaining clarity and starting building momentum.
— CLAUDIA MANDELLI (BERLIN, GERMANY VIA ITALY)

You’re at a crossroads.

Which path will you take? Status quo? or another way?

The past couple years have been a test of collective consciousness. The world feels on fire—both literally and figuratively. Perhaps circus is a better descriptor. Basic human rights are no longer a given, and the curtains of inequities have been unmasked.

On top of the never-ending, exhausting news cycle, we have all faced our own personal tests psychologically, physically, and relationally. We’ve learned to question everything, including what we’re doing in the world. It’s easy to feel hopeless at times when there is so much out of our control.

It’s almost as if the universe wanted us to hit a collective reset and ask:

  • What are our priorities?

  • How do we want to be spending our time?

  • Who do we want to be spending our time with?

  • Where do we want to be?

  • What do I actually want moving forward?

  • What am I doing to support myself?

In Mapping Your Path, you’ll be surrounded by amazing, warm-hearted humans who also know there is something “more” out there that’s not necessarily linked to doing more. Deep down, they too know there’s another way…

Thank you for a really, really fun experience that helped me realize the power of community. I’ve never joined a creative community like this before and am now a believer!

Being a part of this group has really shifted the way I approach new challenges and move away from the ‘shoulds’. Mapping Your Path was essential to me taking the plunge and reconsidering the next chapter of my career path.
— SHWETA JOHRI SCOTT (LUXEMBOURG)

After joining MYP I feel the world opening up to me, rather than closing in, as it had seemed when I first retired. At that time I felt I needed to find a new career, and work to do that was important as judged by others.

Now I can see myself moving in a direction that might benefit others but will be decided by me. I now can allow myself the luxury of looking forward and imagining the life I really, truly want to live. Yes, there will be bumps, interruptions, and segues I cannot control, but my path forward is mine to decide. Being in MYP has helped/nudged me to view everything differently.
— URSULA TOMLINSON (BETHLEHEM, PA)

The journey is the destination.

Think intuition meets intention.

WHAT IF, instead of being so fixated on the destination, we focused on how we wanted to feel along the way? What if we allowed ourselves to feel good? What if feeling gave us more clues into what the next step is that we need to take? What if this journey could feel easy, fun, exciting, and energizing? YES, that is possible!

It probably also means starting before you’re ready…

You’ll leave the 3-months feeling:

  • Progress and pride around the steps you’ve taken (especially the small ones)

  • Gratitude and joy

  • Greater ease and peace around where you are and where you’re going

  • Inspired, alive, and energized

  • A new sense of what is possible

  • Surprised (in a good way) by what you uncovered about yourself

  • New clarity

PAST MYPERS HAVE:

  • Allowed themselves to slow down and rest

  • Pivoted and launched new businesses

  • Started podcasts

  • Prototyped, experimented, and explored possible paths

  • Gotten dream jobs + into grad school

  • Quit dream jobs (and toxic ones too)

  • Navigated retirement

  • Found peace with where they are

  • Written books + pursued artistic endeavors

  • Tried new + unexpected things

  • Taken naps

  • Reignited joy in their lives

How we gather:

Monthly workshops with creative exercises (1.5 hr)

First Friday of the month

The first Friday of each month, there will be a live workshop, which will be recorded for those who can’t join live. Each month we’ll explore mapping-inspired exercises as well as journal prompts. No need to prepare—JUST SHOW UP! During the workshops, you’ll have time to complete the exercises so that they’re not one more thing on your plate.

Monthly reflection sessions (1.5 hr)

Third Thursday of the month

Two weeks after the live workshop, we’ll have a reflection session to build on the exercises explored, along with one new exercise. This is an intentional time to reflect on the work we’re doing and the paths we’re on. No need to prepare—JUST SHOW UP!

Monthly MINI GROUP Connection Calls (1 hr)

Sign up for a time that’s convenient for you the last 2 weeks of the month

These small group calls of 5 to 6 community members + Anne are informal conversations where everyone is invited to talk through any exercises, ask for feedback, or look for support on workshop exercises. blocks, or anything they’re working on or going through in life. No need to prepare—JUST SHOW UP! You never know who you may meet through these encounters—that’s what makes them magic!

Dates/times will vary throughout the ~3rd/4th week of the month, so you get to sign up for one that works for your schedule. Efforts will be made for everyone who wants to join a connection call to join regardless of where you are in the world. Trust me when I say these calls can be MAGIC and are always a highlight for past MYPers.

MYP Community (ongoing for 3 months)

For connection between sessions, we’ll have a private Slack community for weekly check-ins, resource sharing, working through exercises, noodling on ideas, chatting through the latest big thing, and providing support for anything you’re thinking about. (This is not your typical Slack community.)

There is no pressure to be connected all the time (or at all), but for many people, their biggest growth happens here through “thinking out loud” with the support of the INCREDIBLE community of humans that MYP attracts. (No one is expected to read/follow all threads. You can pop in and out as is convenient for you.)

Wrap up call

We’ll pull it all together with a wrap-up call!

It’s totally understandable that you might want to take a pause and disconnect at any time for any reason throughout the 3 months. Rest assured, pauses are essential—and encouraged—throughout this discovery journey.

WARNING: Don’t get fixated on dates! (That’s just another excuse not to put yourself first.) Participants join from all corners of the globe, and replays can be watched on your own time. Those who aren’t able to join the workshops and reflection sessions live still get immense value and connection out of MYP through the community and Connection Calls. In fact, many people prefer the ability to pause and take more time with the material and exercises. You will be able to watch the replays whenever you want and as many times as you want, even after the 3 months are over.

Whether you work in the creative industries or not, you are creative. Mapping Your Path takes you on a journey of self-discovery and exploration into why you are who you are and how to be true to yourself in your next steps.

This experience really helped me connect the dots between who I am and what I want to be doing as I left years of high pressure work environments to start my own consultancy. It uses tools and approaches that are fun and different—it never felt like work—and it was really well organized and the time flew on our calls.
— NINA WINSTON (CHICAGO, IL)

MYP gives you tools to see your path differently. Both as a way to look back on inflection points and forks in the road in new perspectives, but also as a way to build direction and resilience moving into the future.
— BEN CARMEL (SWITZERLAND)

Honestly, Mapping Your Path has changed my life.

When I first signed up for MYP I was navigating life in Paris after completing grad school. During MYP I quit my job, started my own business, and got my French visa renewed.

Having the support of the MYP community meant a lot during this time as it wasn’t always smooth sailing. Much to my pleasant surprise I even found other MYPers who needed my services and hired me!

As someone who is self-employed and enjoys the company of other people, the Slack community and particularly the monthly connection calls were really helpful for keeping me going.
— MONIQUE CALLENDER (PARIS, FRANCE)

Goal: Remove overwhelm.
Move your way.

(You’ll know you’re doing it right if you’re taking the pressure off + having FUN!!!)

The time to shine is NOW!

YES, you!!!!

Aminatou Sow and Ann Friedman coined the term “Shine Theory” which says, “I don’t shine if you don’t shine.” It’s the spirit we bring into Mapping Your Path. This is an environment of supportive collaboration and raising each other up, not one of comparison or competition. There is room for everyone to shine! (And, also, you have full permission to be selfish and focus on yourself.)

Anne is the master at creating the life she wants to live. Truly inspiring.

Mapping Your Path a 3-month workshop and community where Anne guides you through exercises and resources to help you get your sh*t together and live your best life. No expectations, no achievement or productivity requirements. She guides you at your own pace and stresses progress over perfection. You will be awed and humbled by the weekly mind-blowing realizations you will have. I laughed, I cried, I came back to myself.

I was in the process of leaving the company I co-founded and was trying to figure out what was next for me professionally (underline on the professionally part). I was hoping for some guidance and exercises to launch a new business pretty quickly. Little did I know that MYP would be so much more than that!

MYP taught me / reminded me that there is more to a life-well-lived than work and achievement and productivity and money. It reminded me that I want room for laughter and joy and fun in my life and helped me begin to map out a path for how to get those things back into my life.
— ALEX PAPPAS (FLORIDA, USA)

I’ve been part of Mapping Your Path since the start. It has helped me reconnect with my creativity in a way I hadn’t imagined before. It also brought fun and magic into my life.

I think it’s the online program I didn’t know I was dreaming of. It didn’t add overwhelm but brought clarity, simplicity, lightness and helped me figure out what was important to me from the first round. Magic. I have fun creating my own maps and enjoy revisiting my notes and exercises from the previous rounds—it always brings insights and sparks.

Anne brings her magic recipe, her authenticity, creativity, fun and design thinking to guide us along the way. It is magical.

She is on the journey with us, shares and is very much active and reactive in the group. It makes it a special place. I love the spirit of curiosity and exploration in MYP, and being with great people from around the world. Anne has a talent for gathering a great community of people in a unique atmosphere.
— CÉLINE BOURGEOIS (FRANCE)

FAQ

  • The fall version of MYP “Into the New Year” (Oct–Jan) has a focus on figuring out how we want to finish the current year, and go into the New Year with intention. The main focus is developing a “guiding force” (word/phrase) and creating a map for the year ahead.

The spring version of MYP (Feb–April) has a very similar spirit, and is more about unlocking our best selves and our secret sauce.

Both versions have different creative exercises that complement each other and connect to larger themes. From year to year, the overall workshop themes are the same, however, there may be new exercises introduced as MYP continues to evolve.

People join MYP during different cycles, and there is no one way/place to start.

Many people come back for new MYP cohorts to take advantage of the community and meet new people. (There are people who have joined MYP for all 6 cohorts if that says anything!).

If you’re interested in joining both versions of MYP, you can sign up for both versions now for the deepest discount.

  • There is a significant percentage of returning MYPers who return for more. Some have been around since the beginning, and others have taken a cycle or two off and come back. There’s no one/right way to do this. Just know you’re always welcome back :)

I’ve you’ve joined the Feb—April cohort in the past, you’ll recognize many of the exercises. (I just keep changing the name of it ;) ).

Every round I continue to refine the offer, invite in new inspiration, explore new ideas and exercises, and of course, there are new faces in every round to look forward to.

Sometimes an idea or concept won’t resonate the first time around, but through reinforcement and continued practice something starts to click. We’ll do many of the same activities that we’ve done in the past, but you’ll go into them with another year worth of experience under your belt. You may even find yourself responding to them in a completely different way than last year’s you.

MYP is always evolving and so much of the inspiration comes from those inside the community.

  • YES! YES! YES!

The workshops are just one component of the MYP experience, which is designed to be flexible and work for real/busy lives.

Every workshop and reflection session is recorded so you can watch on your own time. Some people even enjoy the fact that they can pause while they watch so they can spend more time with the exercises.

Even with participants spread throughout the globe, the Slack community is a great way to connect with other community members asynchronously.

We’ve had multiple people join from Australia and Asia in the past and even though they couldn’t join the live calls, every month I made sure there was a time she could meet others during the “connection calls” (mini groups with 5-6 other MYPers).

Sometimes people have work or other commitments that keep them from joining live workshops, but the same response as above applies. There are different elements that make up MYP, and different components are going to resonate with people differently. The goal is that you can find a way that makes it work for you.

  • The MYP community is truly AWESOME!!! No one is required to participate, but those who do absolutely love it. It’s not like other communities online. This one is special, supportive, and magical.

I choose to use Slack for the community because it keeps the vibe fun, casual, and conversation (and us off of Facebook). Some people who have used Slack for work or other uses have said the way I use Slack is not like any other experience they’ve had before (that’s a good thing!).

If you’ve never used Slack before, don’t worry, I’ll be onboarding everyone and sending a short how-to video. Like many things in life, oftentimes the best way to approach things is to learn by doing.

You can download the app or open it in a browser tab. It’s up to you if you keep alerts. (I’ll send you email reminders for key things).

Many people use Slack at work already, so I realize that checking Slack can get overwhelming. Heads up that you do not have to read all of the messages posted, or respond to anything. But you can expect a response from me (Anne). I’m happy to share resources, give feedback, support however I can.

My basic rule is that you need to share it on a public channel and I’ll be more than happy to respond and exchange with you (you may get some awesome other feedback too!).

Some MYPers never log onto Slack and still get a ton out of the experience. People have different needs in different seasons of their life. I encourage/nudge people to engage and share to help you get out of your way. It’s up to you to decide what feels right for you.

New members are welcome and encouraged to dive right in. For others, they may hang back and observe/listen their first time through MYP. It’s a friendly, supportive place, and a truly safe space. No one will bite :)

  • I never want anyone to feel like they are beyond their financial means to join this group. Note that there is a 3-month and 5-month payment plan option available as well to help make it more accessible.

I want to encourage you to think about how you can look at MYP as an INVESTMENT in yourself. The first time I invested in a coach it was terrifying and felt like a lot of money. It turns out it was the step I needed to start taking my business more seriously. It was the nudge, jolt, and support I needed at that time.

Many coaching programs of this caliber cost thousands of dollars with less access to the leader. However, I do encourage you to look to see if there is anywhere in your life you can save money (do you really need all those subscriptions?), and see if you can find a way to make it work.

I can assure you I’ve witnessed so many transformations from people who join the group even though it feels daunting. The ultimate goal through MYP is that you will make shifts in your life through MYP that will set you up for future success.

The other perk is that once you sign up for MYP you get discounts to other offers including a deep discount to future MYP cohorts.

  • I fully believe in the power of the collective.

Currently, 1:1 coaching is only available to people who have participated in MYP. They also get discounted 1:1 coaching calls when participating in the current cohort.

  • I fully expect people to have other things going on, that’s why I designed MYP the way I did—the essentials.

The workshops and reflection sessions are 1.5 hours, and mini group connection calls are 1 hour, in total 4 hours a month.

Time invested in the Slack community should be whatever feels right for you. You don’t need to feel guilty if you can’t check it all the time or read every message.

We all tend to tell ourselves stories about how we need to “make the most of my investment” or, “I need to get my money’s worth.” Insights and learnings can happen in many different forms.

If you’re in a slow period of life you may find yourself dipping into the community daily. If you have a full schedule and would like to participate in the community, I recommend scheduling time every week on your calendar so you can check-in.

You don’t have to be the perfect student or top of the class to get a ton out of the experience. It’s a great time/place/space to experiment!

Often times you may open the Slack community and see a post or resource that is just what you needed to see that day (you take it from there and run). Other times posts may not resonate with you, which is fine—take what works for you, and ignore the rest. YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO IT ALL!

Still have questions?

I’m here to help! Shoot me an email at hello@anneditmeyer.com or send me DM on social media (I’m slower to respond there).

I’m happy to answer any questions you may have, or help you decide if this is the right fit for you right now. Seriously, don’t be shy. I promise I won’t bite :)
