WHAT IF the answer wasn’t about doing more?
WHAT IF you allowed yourself to take steps towards the thing you really want?
WHAT IF you carved out the time to be intentional to work on the thing you always push aside?
WHAT IF you got out of the way and had the support of an incredible community by your side?
WHAT IF you started before you felt ready and figured it out along the way?

MAY – JULY 2022

Welcome to Mapping Your Path 3-month Accountability Booster Group! It’s a place where you get to show up unabashedly as yourself, work on that idea (crazy or mundane, tangible or intangible), and have unparalleled support and cheerleading along the way? WHAT IF instead of seeing what you haven’t accomplished you got to celebrate every small step along the way?

The community opens Monday, May 9th.
Official kick-off Friday, May 13th.

GRANT YOURSELF GRACE. TAKE THE STEP FORWARD.

We all have things we want to do in life. However, too often the things that are really meaningful get pushed to the backburner. We’re too good at putting others ahead of ourselves.

The MYP Accountability Booster Group is about refocusing our priorities to what really matters to us. It’s about doing something for ourselves and not caring what others may think.

It’s so easy to get sidetracked putting out fires and dealing with “emergencies” that our actual goals and dreams take a back seat. And sometimes life gets in our way.

Sometimes those dreams aren’t quite defined yet, we’re on a quest for what’s next. Wherever you are is just where you need to be. It’s through small steps that you’ll make the real progress.

WHAT IF slow and steady really did win the race? WHAT IF we learned to take the pressure off, change the stories we’ve told ourselves that get in our way, and do the damn thing anyway? It is possible. All it takes is one small action from you to get it in motion.

You are HERE.
Where do you want to be?

EMBRACE IMPERFECTION. Think progress > perfection.

Accountability in MYP is not about showing up perfectly all the time. (You’re allowed to take vacation and time off—in fact, it’s encouraged!). This is about taking aligned action over time. It’s also about taking imperfect action, learning on the go, starting before you’re ready, and changing course as needed.

You don’t have to do it alone. MYP is there to provide the support, guidance, and help you need to get the ball in motion, or even get you unstuck.

MYP experiences are designed with flexibility and busy lives in mind. It’s time to get out of “good student” mode and just let yourself be. You can pick and choose the elements that support you best and leave the rest.

Mapping Your Path is alchemy, because it will bring together parts of yourself and others to spark transformation you could never foresee. It’s the most supportive structured community to understand yourself better and make durable, meaningful change to your life.

You don’t have to know what you want to get out of the experience, you just have to know that you’re not where you want to be and you’re not entirely sure why.
— Annie Yi (Washington, DC)

WHAT IF you didn't need one more thing to do/learn/master to get closer to where you want to be? What if you just needed the company of others—the right people—and support along the way?

Sometimes we can get stuck in a cycle of feeling like we need to learn or do something or complete a particular training before we can ALLOW ourselves to do the thing we really want to be doing. While yes, some industries do have training and certifications for a reason, there are still ways to take steps to move closer to that goal. The MYP community space will help show you that’s possible.

While Mapping Your Path (MYP) typically focuses on goal setting and finding direction through live workshops, the summer cycle (May–July) is a streamlined version designed to be a place to help keep you accountable and make real progress on whatever you are working on. It's not about learning another thing (although there will be plenty of tools, resources, and inspiration shared). It's about trusting yourself and that you want to take the step towards what is important to you.

The MYP: Accountability Booster Group is a vessel to help unlock the magic within you. There will be surprises along the way, but most importantly the support and encouragement you may not have known you needed.

The community that you cultivated was so special. It’s incredible that you attracted a group of kind hearted, supportive individuals from around the world to be a part of the program. Learning that other people were also dealing with the things that I was was struggling with and working through them together was what made the program worth it.
— NISHANT BHANSALI (INDIA + USA)

Are you ready to MAKE time for yourself?

There’s never a perfect time. THE TIME IS NOW.

Even if you have other things on your calendar, this is the time to use the accountability group to help take those first steps forward. IMAGINE what could be possible when you do!

It's not only about doing the work, it's about having a trusted circle you can check in with for support, accountability, and cheer you on. This is a group of incredible humans—you included—around the world who "get it." They're on the journey too, and they're excited to help celebrate your wins with you, no matter how big or small they are. Even the smallest steps are progress.

So what exactly does this accountability group consist of?

  • Kick-off workshop (presented live on Zoom, and the recording will be shared if you can't join live or wish to rewatch it at a later date). This kick-off will be a chance for you to shape and set what you want your next 3 months to look and feel like. We’ll walk through a series of exercises to help you find clarity and set things in motion. (Friday, May 13)

  • Community – The MYP community is hosted on Slack. You can look forward to resource sharing, weekly intention setting, inspiring resources, unparalleled support, and incredible human beings around the world to connect with. It’s up to you how often you want to check-in and how much you want to engage (it’s low pressure, but also a magical place when you show up as yourself). The MYP becomes a wealth of incredible resources shared by participants. Anne is also an engaged member of the community (active daily) providing direct support for all community members and is always happy to “prescribe” a resource, exercise, or prompt as needed. (The community opens Monday, May 9th.)

  • Co-working calls – Show up and quietly work on whatever you need to get done. We’ll set intentions and then get to work. After 1-hour of working solo, there will be an option to join a 15 min breakout room to connect with others. There will be a sprinkling of these each month at different times to allow for different time zones. It’s encouraged to join two of them per month, but you’re welcome to join more.

  • Connection Calls – These 1-hour calls happen once a month (3 total) with Anne + ~5-6 other participants to talk through whatever you're working on with the support of others. These are always a highlight for past MYP participants! Trust the magic. You don’t even have to know what you want to talk about when you show up to the call. It’s low pressure, and fun!

  • Direct support from Anne – As long as you share on public channel in Slack, Anne will provide support for whatever you're working on. This could be anything from brainstorming new ideas or outreach, feedback on a website or proposal, sharing just the right resource you need right now, or finding a reframe to get out of your own way. She loves connecting with and getting to know MYP community members and will always have your back!

  • Inspiration and journal prompts – There will be regular guided journal prompts inspired by what's coming up in the community. If you hate email, don’t worry, these will be cross-posted on Slack as well. (The journal prompts are not required, but encouraged.)

  • Wrap-up call – The wrap-up call is a moment for reflection and looking forward, while also celebrating just how far we’ve all come. (Friday July 29 – Recorded for those who can't join live.)

  • Discounts on future MYP cohorts and workshops – Once you join MYP you become part of the family and receive discounted access to future versions.

There will also be room for experimentation in the group and some new elements may pop up….

    * If you aren't familiar with Slack it serves a similar purpose to Facebook groups. It is a safe space where we can connect, share, and grow without all the distractions of social media and endless scrolling. There is ZERO pressure to keep up with any or all of the messages. You can post a question without ever reading or responding to anyone else. The priority is using the community space in a way that moves YOU forward.

I love the community aspect. I felt the mini group sessions [Connection Calls] really helped create deeper connections with people and I’ve loved that.
— Tami Lynn Ross (Georgia, USA)

This is not about doing more or hustle. It’s about going DEEPER and being intentional, putting you and your desires first. It’s taking the steps to make things happen. (It’s never too late!)

After a wild two years, we’re all looking for a bit of connection, both with ourselves and with others. Mapping Your Path is not like anything you’ve experienced before. The community is MAGIC because people like you who join. Be prepared to be inspired in ways you didn’t know were possible.

Until you experience MYP it’s, hard to explain, but if anything below resonates with you, there’s a good chance now is the time for you to join. Keep your assumptions in check and mind open and great things are possible.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Participants in all sorts of fields and industries, both full-time, self-employed, on sabbatical, and retired have joined MYP from all over the world from the US, Canada, Brazil, Australia, France, UK, Germany, Italy, Finland, Scotland, Mexico, India, the Philippines, and more. Participants tend to span from mid-career to retirement.

There's no one size fits all person who joins MYP. Everyone is in a different chapter or season of their life, but that’s what makes the group so special. There is a spirit of celebration and cheering on each other, not one of scarcity or competition.

Here are some reasons that may resonate for joining the MYP Accountability Booster Group:

  • You've had a creative project or business idea you've been thinking about forever but you haven't gotten around to.

  • You know too deeply what overwhelm and burnout feels like from giving everything to work and/or family and know in order for anything to change you need to be intentional about making time for yourself. (You can also use the accountability aspect of the group to practice doing less or slowing down.)

  • You're in a transition phase of life (career change, nearing empty nester, or retirement) and you want to have support and guidance as you navigate your path.

  • You’re in need of permission to try something new or different, to “follow the itch” of what is calling you but seems scary. (Giving you permission right now!)

  • You want to be intentional to carve out time for something you want to do more of like knitting, writing poetry, working in your garden, or finally launching the project that has been brewing inside of you.

  • You're looking for inspiration without a huge commitment. (The group will develop naturally, but I very well could see participants forming their own mini accountability calls, meeting up IRL, or connecting with others who are reading or working through the same book or exercise.)

  • You’re ready for a reset. What you're currently doing isn't working and you need a different way to show up for yourself.

  • You're in a good place, and you want to keep the momentum going, but also know that outside support from others who "get it" is what you need right now.

  • Returning MYPers can continue digging deeper into the work and exercises they’ve already started. The summer session is great for integration and reinforcement.

There’s no limit to what you can use this group to support you with, but the best results will come when you allow yourself to move beyond the to-do list of shoulds to something you’re really excited about.

You’ve got a magical talent: you can gather incredible humans! The MYP community is such a kind, inspiring, resourceful sounding board and your contagious energy paired with your design thinking approach helps one to feel seen whilst gaining clarity and starting building momentum.
— CLAUDIA MANDELLI (BERLIN, GERMANY)

Start before you’re ready.
(It will be OK!)
You don’t have to have it all figured out to take the first step.

WHAT DOES ACCOUNTABILITY LOOK LIKE FOR YOU?

Progress is going to look different to everyone.

For you accountability may mean checking in daily. For others it's weekly or bi-weekly. It's up to you how often you want to check in with the community. So much of this experience is about checking in with yourselves, not just with others.

There is no pressure, however, the participants who experience the most growth and progress check in every few days. (You can hang out in the community all day too if you want!)

Anne is happy to provide feedback and direction along the way. The more you share, the more you'll receive. (There’s no quota!) Other community members will likely be eager to share their support as well. (There’s also no pressure to reciprocate or read and respond to anything as a participant.)

Keep in mind that accountability doesn’t always mean doing more. You may need support as you work to dial back your commitments, and how much you take on, as you work to build more boundaries.

We live in a world of instant gratification, but sometimes progress takes time to see. In MYP we emphasize celebrating the small wins and tiny steps just as much as the big things.

MYP is like a group of friends who are helping you achieve actual goals but also a sense of purpose and meaning; it is an abundant collection of ideas, views from which you can draw what works for you.
— Mara M. (Maryland, USA)

It’s time to SHINE!

Resistance is real. You may be saying, "But I've tried accountability groups in the past and it hasn't worked for me!"

Before you rush to assumptions and conclusions, this is NOT like any accountability group, or any other group for that matter. Past Mapping Your Path participants are quick to point out it's not like any other group program or workshop they've done before.

Trust me when I say I've tried so many things over the year. This accountability group is not only inspired by what has worked for me, but also by what I've experienced that hasn't worked. This is about daring to do things differently and show up for yourself. In many ways, members of the cohort get to help design and shape the experience. You bring what you want out of the experience.

In Mapping Your Path we often return to the questions: WHAT IF there was another way? What if it were easy? What would make this FUN? How do I want to feel at the end of this?

For anything to be a success, it takes a sense of openness to try new ways of doing things. In MYP we all learn from lived experiences and from each other.

What this is NOT:

  • More things to feel behind on

  • Another thing to do

  • More worksheets

  • Baby-sitting and hand-holding

  • More workshops and videos to watch (although it can be a good excuse to watch any you’ve signed up for in the past and haven’t gotten around to.)

What this IS:

  • Making progress towards your goals

  • Taking steps (the first step?) to what you really want to be doing/working on

  • Carving out time for YOU and your needs

  • Taking the time to work on your endeavors without adding to your workload

  • Prioritizing YOU over the stress of life and work (this can even mean 5 min a day!)

  • Feeling like you showed up for yourself

  • Re-writing the narrative that you don't have time for certain things

  • Connecting with yourself and with others

  • A way to check in, track, and see your progress

  • Support and guidance when you feel stuck or blocked (Anne can provide exercises, prompts, and resources at any time!)

  • A judgement-free zone where you can show up for yourself

  • A magical support system (the MYP community) who may have experiences, resources, perspectives and ideas to share that you’ve never considered

  • A sense of purpose, drive, and forward momentum

  • A gentle kick in the butt to stop making excuses, and start making progress

  • Learning and being inspired by others and their experiences to propel us forward

  • Being open to different ways of doing things

  • Investing in yourself and your future (because you’re worth it + deserve it!!!)

  • Deciding and declaring you’re worthy of what you really want

Sometimes accountability can be as simple as starting your day by prioritizing five minutes for yourself. It’s also about taking the smallest steps, watching out for those societal stories of what “success” means, and starting before you’re ready.

Thank you for a really, really fun experience that helped me realize the power of community. I’ve never joined a creative community like this before and am now a believer! Being a part of this group has really shifted the way I approach new challenges and move away from the ‘shoulds’. Mapping Your Path was essential to me taking the plunge and reconsidering the next chapter of my career path.
— SHWETA JOHRI SCOTT (LUXEMBOURG)

The MYP Accountability Group is also great if you've been interested in 1:1 coaching but it's not within your budget right now. You will receive direct coaching and feedback from Anne in the MYP community space and the Connection Calls are like small group coaching calls, where breakthroughs happen even faster. It’s MAGIC. There’s also an option to sign up for a discounted 1:1 coaching call.

MEET YOUR GUIDE

Anne S. Ditmeyer (aka Prêt à Voyager, translation: ready to travel) has never been one to do things the traditional way. From being a member of the men's crew team in college to starting her own business in France (which eventually earned her dual citizenship), Anne has always been guided by "her own special gyroscope" as her mom would say.

Anne believes "travel is not about where you go, but how you see the world." Her year abroad had a huge influence in how she sees the world and approaches her work, driven by experience and viewing the city as her classroom. She believes in sharing "alternative narratives" or the stories we don't always hear. She despises the narrative around busy is a badge of honor, and actively works to promote a different, more sustainable way of working—and living.

Creativity, connection, curiosity, and experience are at the heart of all the work she does, and is at the core of her work as a creative coach and workshop facilitator. She developed Write Your Own Rules and Mapping Your Path to show there’s another way of working that isn’t always the one that society programs us to think we should follow. She also loves having people map on bananas!

She’s run workshops for CreativeMornings, Adobe, LouisVuitton, Parsons Paris, and more, in addition to regularly running her 3-month Mapping Your Path cohorts. Her work has been featured in Psychologies Magazine UK and Forbes.

This 3-month accountability booster group is designed to help you shine. Feeling stuck? Anne has a resource for you! She’s always happy to “prescribe” you just the right thing and share her own experiences and journey. You’ll get direct support from her in the group community—something rare in most online programs!

Are you ready for that BOOST to carry you forward?
Sign up + be part of something special!

In addition to the 3-month accountability group, there is also a limited time offer to get a 1-hour 1:1 coaching call with Anne for 150€ (over 125€ savings!) to be used between May-July to support you on your endeavors. This is completely optional. Limited spots are available for the 1-hour coaching calls at this rate.

Note: now that the community is open, Anne will need to manually let you into the Slack community. Depending on what time zone you’re in, there may be a slight delay.

ENROLLMENT IS NOW CLOSED

All sales are final. The monthly payment option is not an option to opt-out. You are committed to the three months when you book. HT = hors taxe. Teachable automatically calculates tax according to your residency.

After signing up participants will receive Slack access on Monday, May 9th. The official kick off call will be Thursday, May 13th from 5-6:30pm CET/Paris (this will be recorded if you cannot join live).

FAQ

I'm too busy right now, will you be running this again soon?

There are 3 versions of Mapping Your Path, which evolve every time I run them, and take on direction inspired by the group. There is no right or perfect place to start. You also can start before you feel “ready.” I’ve come to learn there’s never any perfect time and we often make excuses to delay what we really want.

MYP is designed for actual humans with busy lives and other things to do. Think of it as a container designed to support you and bring out the best version of you.

Take all our assumptions about what this is and throw them out the door. Watch for any pressure and expectations that are self-inflicted. Know that Anne is here to support you the best she can. Sometimes that even means giving you a permission slip to not do it all. (You can even email or DM Anne to ask if she thinks this is a right fit for you!)

My goal is to create a space where people can make progress and steps forward, no matter how small. It's a low-pressure place with an incredible community of magical humans, where you can make big strides by showing up for yourself over time (we often need to rebuild some trust muscles that it's in us!). We’re all human. This is a safe place to practice being imperfect too.

The Accountability Booster Group is designed to be a BOOST, not a time suck. It's designed to help you intentionally carve out time—even small chunks of time—to help you move the needle forward on something you're working on, or have been wanting to MAKE TIME for.

If you’re honest with yourself is there ever a time when you're not busy? When is life ever convenient? Sometimes we have to make the choice to take the step and commit to showing up for ourselves. We deserve it.

What kind of time commitment should I expect?

This is for you to decide. It may be correlated to what you have going on and what you're trying to work on. Some group members may have big projects and deadlines they're using the Accountability Booster Group to get everything done, while others may simply want to be more intentional about carving out small chunks of time for themselves for once. There is no one approach for how to do this. It is important to be aware of the stories you may be telling yourself about what progress and productivity look like.

Also, you very well may have some weeks where you're very active in the community, checking daily, looking for feedback and support, or just sharing something that inspired you. Other weeks you might be in your own world and it slips your mind and you really are too busy, or off enjoying a break or traveling. It all works! I find in the end it all evens out. Grant yourself some grace.

This is not school. You will not be reprimanded for "cutting class" or missing a session. There is no grade at the end.

You can think of it like 3 hours a month, 5 minutes a day, or whatever feels easy, comfortable, and digestible. Of course, you’re welcome to hang out in the community space as much as you’d like. Devoting more time isn't always better. The real goal is to TAKE ACTION and make steps forward in whatever you’re setting out to do.

Sometimes it's just having the focused time with a clear intention that is all you need to make magic happen.

What if I’m not sure what to work on? Do I need to have a specific project?

During the Kick-Off call we’ll be intention setting. Some people may have clear set projects or goals, while others may be looking for added clarity. It doesn’t matter where you are on the journey. The biggest hurdle to get over is making sure you want to take steps forward in the direction you want to go.

You’re welcome to use the Accountability Booster Group in an exploratory nature (maybe you need to give yourself permission to explore and be curious), or to finally get that proposal together / website online / book written / project launched / résumé revised / apply to new jobs / make steps towards your next career / finally finish that online training / write poetry / build systems to save you time / journal or meditate / practice boundaries, etc. There is no one way to approach this group.

I just ask that you be open to showing up for yourself.

What time will the calls be?

Most of MYP is asynchronous so don’t talk yourself out of it because of timing. The kick-up and wrap-up calls will be at 5pm CET/Paris time on the scheduled Fridays. They will be recorded.

Co-working calls will typically be on a Thursday or Friday at 5pm CET/Paris time. You are not required to join any or all of them. I’ll also record a co-working session so you can go back and rewatch it if you want a simulated experience to find flow.

Due to the international/global nature of this group, I’ll likely be adding another time earlier in the day [Paris time] too. (Sometimes in MYP you just need to ask!)

The Connection Calls calls take place at staggered times throughout the week (usually 3rd week of month) and everyone signs up for a time that works for them through the Calendly link I send each month. They’re a great way to connect with and meet different community members.

Connection Calls are designed to accommodate different time zones, and usually start between 4-7pm Paris time, as well as a morning CET option. If there are participants who are logistically unable to do the times, I will do my best to offer alternative times. (The key to success is to communicate with me upfront). My goal is that everyone will be able to join a Connection Call if they’re interested in participating.

Can you tell me more about the Slack community?

Everyone may have different experiences with Slack—or no experience at all with it—coming into the Accountability Booster Group. If you're new to it, don't worry, I'll be showing you the ropes, and you’ll be a pro before you know it. The best way to learn is by doing. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you may have along the way!

The key thing to know is that you DO NOT need to read, follow, or respond to every/any post (that is my job). You can post a question and step away guilt-free. Use Slack to get what YOU need.

The goal is for you to find a way to use and check in with the community in a way that serves you. I'll be your guide and will share prompts and reminders, but there's a lot of room for the community to grow and evolve organically. (I LOVE hearing ideas from community members, and we more often than not we can make it happen!)

What I can tell you is:

  • MYP is an incredibly supportive community of wonderful humans. It's a very welcoming place and safe space to be yourself.

  • You can check-in whenever you want. While I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE people to participate, this is not meant to pressure people or give you more to do. My main concern is you're not holding yourself back.

  • Whenever a new program kicks off it can seem overwhelming at first and there may be a wave of initial excitement that feels daunting and overwhelming, but trust me, it will settle down and you'll find your rhythm. (It's also why I keep the group size manageable, to cut down on the overwhelm.)

  • I (Anne) will help make connections, so you don't have to read every message or follow every thread. The more I know about you/your work, the more I can share the right resources or point you in the right direction. I've seen community members support each other in amazing ways, and even meet up IRL.

  • The priority is for you to use the group to help yourself stay accountable and make progress. (This also may mean experimenting or being open to trying new things.) I'm not a mind reader, so I encourage people to share and post from time to time to help ensure you're not blocked or stuck, and I can help support you. This is about GETTING OUT OF YOUR OWN WAY.

  • I find a lot of unblocking can happen through the simple act of posting/sharing and getting out of your head.

  • It's completely up to you what level of information you share. (I'm always amazed how vulnerable some participants get in sharing their experiences—it's so enriching and a good reminder we're not alone). I'm an active participant and will be sharing my experiences too.

  • I'm happy to share exercises, prompts, feedback, etc. All you have to do is ask on Slack.

  • Slack is divided into "channels" which are named/themed to give a bit of organization and make things easier to find, so you know where to share. But really it’s more important to post than to over-think it. (Don't worry, I'll be walking through you all this, so no need to stress!)

Many communities have strict rules about what you share and don't allow you to share/promote what you're working on. I want everyone to SHINE through my experiences, so I may nudge you to share what you’re working on and help get you out of your comfort zone. It’s ultimately up to you what you want to share and how often.

I also like to remind people that what they share or a question they ask may be exactly what someone else in the group needs to hear right now. I find there's a lot of magic in "thinking out loud" and not having to be perfect. It invites in synchronicity too.

The MYP [Slack] community is truly one of the best, most magical places on earth.

What if I'm blocked/stuck?

Speak up in Slack! Let me know! I have tools to help get you unblocked. (I like to think of it as "on demand"—I don't want to overwhelm people with too many distractions in the Accountability Booster Group, but as things come up that you need support with, don't hesitate to speak up, and we can work through it.)

Often community members will speak up and share their own experiences and favorite resources too.

Chances are you aren't the only one who feels this way, so it's good to get out of your head by reaching out.

Also, often on connection calls people bring some aspect of feeling blocked to the conversation. This is super rich too when people can relate and share what has worked for them. You're not just learning from me, you're learning from the community.
