1st Sunday of the month Banana Mapping Workshops (it's free!)
Banana maps are my signature move and I use them in different ways across my work, changing the prompts depending on the workshop. (And yes, even corporate teams map on bananas!).
So what are banana maps? They’re a tool for creative unblocking. They great for overcoming perfectionism, disrupting routine thinking, getting started, encouraging creativity and play, and fostering collaboration. A banana map is exactly what it sounds like—a map, drawn on a banana. But it’s also a powerful exercise in breaking free from rigid thinking and embracing imperfection. By using an unexpected, temporary medium, participants stop over-analyzing and start engaging with ideas in a playful, low-stakes way.
Don’t try to understand them, come and experience them for yourself. (I have written a brief history of banana maps for inquiring minds, but I always love when people come into the experience knowing nothing.) Lucky for you, there’s a regular opportunity for you to follow your curiosity and come banana map with me every month!
Through my OVERRIDE! Substack I’m hosting monthly banana mapping workshops via Zoom the first Sunday of each month, where I pull from one of the banana mapping exercises in my book, OVERRIDE! What if there was another way? A pocket playbook for possibility. (Already have a copy? There’s a link to a bonus banana mapping workshop with me inside!)
Workshops take place on Zoom the first Sunday of each month from 7-8pm CET/Paris (11am EST) with folks joining around the world. Learn more about the monthly series here and sign up for my Substack (also free) to receive access to the Zoom room. Make sure you mark your calendars! There are minimal reminders to keep things streamlined. I send the link via the Substack email feature one hour before kick off (check your promotions tab if you can’t find it!).
Hope to see you the first Sunday of the month!! Remember, this is a BYOB event = Bring Your Own Banana! 🍌
